And relax …… After an epic eighty hour week starting work before the bird song each morning and even squeezing in an all nighter I am happy to report our best ever St Valentines Day sales and more importantly a 100 percent survival rate !

In the style of an Oscar winner ….I couldn’t have done it without my fabulous team ..Emily, Danni , Katie , Martha, Frankie, Millie, Florence, Matilda, Eve, Amanda ( who abandoned her home in Wales along with her husband to add her dynamic talent and personality to our team …) and of course my long suffering husband Richard ( believe me I ain’t no Valentine at this time of year !! )

As many of our regular clients already know ours is a particularly hard core version of floristry, not only does our day begin and end with the trials and tribulations of a pop up shop but we also battle the elements and the every day marathon of keeping up with demands of 45,000 per day passenger flow.
Naturally I am biased but I think it would be fair to say that our customers are met with an enthusiastic smile and genuine passion, as their employer I could not ask for more. Thank you my lovely girls …and Rich x

So, you might imagine that we all took a few days off and had a spa day …
You would be wrong, Sunday 15th February was a regular working day and a busy one too, the benefits of station trading rely on continuity and while St Valentines is lucrative our core ethic is to provide a standard of service each and every day.

This week has been a real variety of clientele, after the usual frenzy of vases for business we busied ourselves with preparing for a special Birthday celebration on Saturday.

flower-cakeA regular client at Hove hosted her lovely Mums 70th Birthday, a 1950’s band were booked, the fish and chip van was lined up to feed everyone and we filled Elaine’s beautiful home with huge cylinder vases filled with cherry blossom and birds of paradise, glass bowls of scented pink roses and vibernum and tiny jam jar posies filled with deep red piano roses and cerise anemone, stylish and fun rather like the Birthday girl herself !

No one likes to be upstaged but I concede …
The Birthday cake was provided by Treacle and co , if you haven’t been go ! And be sure to tell Melody I sent you ( you might get a bigger slice of the cake 🙂 )
